So "Bahamut" is literal. Good to know. I'm familiar with both, but they don't have human forms where I'm from. That I know of, anyway. They're beings we can call on with materia to ask for their help, particularly in battle, but nobody knows where they go when they're not doing that.

"Materia" are foreign to me, but I did meet a boy who told me his friends summoned Eidolons. Some of the names he listed were familiar.

In my world, they are called Eikons, and they choose but one Dominant. In my lifetime, I shall be the only Bahamut.

Materia are basically crystallized knowledge from the Planet itself. We use them to cast magic, call summons, and enhance all kinds of abilities.

I suppose that's not so different from how they operate on my world. They're just a lot pickier.

They sound almost like crystal, insofar as enabling the use of magic, though I hope that is their only likeness.

The method of calling for aid may differ, but I would help regardless.
