No, Popp merely claimed one set him on fire and I've never heard of a chocobo being capable of doing any such thing. Or being red for that matter without copious use of dyes.
Haven't you seen all the weird-looking chocobos from different worlds around? Just because we don't have that kind of bird back home, doesn't mean they don't exist anywhere.
I took a photo of her. You can do it with your earpiece. Just find something that looks like a rectangle with a circle in it, it's the symbol for a camera. Then just point and shoot.
[A pause, and then,]
That's a figure of speech. You're not actually shooting anything. Just press the button and it'll save an image of whatever you point it at.
[Cloud can take a guess - something something puppet, probably - and it gives him a distinct jab of dread to know that someone else has now heard Sephiroth talk like that about him. He can't give Prompto any reason to think that it might be even the slightest bit true. No way.
Also, he has no idea what an angel order is, not that it matters - he wouldn't accept whatever it is anyway.]
[Sephiroth does not let being part of a 'mission' distract him from the fact that Cloud remains far more important than any of that. More important than any mission. More important than the planet. Perhaps more important than any universe.
Which is precisely why when he takes his leave from the others, he tracks down Cloud and keeps tabs on what he's doing and when. He mostly keeps his distance. Cloud's been testy most of the time, and it's easier to keep an eye on him when he's not turning around to immediately stab him.
He keeps to the trees, letting the shadows conceal him and not fearing any creatures lurking within.
In fact Cloud might notice some dead bodies of some things that certainly would have wanted to make him a meal. Would he also notice a figure within the trees or a pair of eyes watching him? Maybe but that won't ever stop Sephiroth's stalking.]
[For all that some people might call Cloud reckless because he fears very little and can't leave anyone to suffer if he could be doing something about it, he's actually very good at being careful when other people's lives are on the line. A tactical thinker who knows when to wait and when to act, how best to leverage the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of a team in the field. That's why, presumably, he was assigned as his group's Sentinel.
The only times he ever really loses his sense of tactical awareness and just rushes into something without thought is when Sephiroth is involved.
So thus far, despite being restless and bored, he's stayed in the light. He can't protect anyone if he's out of commission because he took unnecessary risks. But here and there, he's felt eyes on him, a presence somewhere in the darkness that somehow he knows is watching him specifically. His instincts say it's Sephiroth, but he hasn't been so sure as to be willing to leave the group undefended to go do something about it. But now...
Now, hovering on the edge between darkness and light, Cloud can see clear evidence of a blade like the Masamune having cut down these creepy corpses. At the corner of his vision, he can see a pair of gleaming, green eyes that don't seem to ever blink. Sephiroth. He's certain now.
That's all Cloud needs to stop thinking and start moving. He takes a step outside the circle of light, then another one, squinting into the murk.]
Sephiroth!
[He hisses the name, quiet but fierce, into the trees.]
[For a brief moment Sephiroth's eyes lock onto Cloud's as though he's staring right through him. Oh Cloud. Ever playing on the edge. Wanting to come into the dark but lingering close to the light.
Sephiroth finds it endearing in a way. Though Cloud can't see it, he can't help but twitch the corner of his lips at the sight. Yes, go on. Come to him. Enter the dark. Sephiroth's fairly certain nothing will attack, he's been doing a pretty good job of eliminating anything that might be stalking Cloud.
Though it's possible Cloud might lose himself by following him into the dark. Sephiroth isn't sure how he feels about that. Things have been complicated lately. On one hand, yes Cloud come to him. On the other, don't die Sephiroth will be disappointed.
Even so he's not moving from his spot. And the only response Cloud gets is a noise in his head that sounds kind of like a laugh.]
